A designer Brabantia (Netherlands) corkscrew, from the 'Classic' range, invented in 1985. 
1980s vintage - an early version of the design. The hard plastic corkscrew is pure 80s red with matt black, with hidden black steel inner screw mechanism. Its clever design features a large turn head, hidden inner casing which moves up as the corkscrew screws into the cork. Keep screwing up and the cork then releases effortlessly. To the reverse the item also has a foil cutter (tip to 90 degrees, there's a knack to it).
Good used condition with some small signs of previous use. Fully functional - tested. 
A lovely (and hard to find) vintage and vibrant addition to any retro kitchen or bar area. It's freestanding too. A great pop of post-modernist colour!
