A fantastic slim curvy and tall Empoli genie bottle/decanter. It has a subtle 'optical' pattern - a slight criss cross diamond pattern within. 
It's carefully and skilfully mouth blown and hand made rather than moulded or mass-produced pressed glass. Vintage, most likely 1960s, and from the Empoli region of Italy. Tall 22.5" hourglass shaped bottle. The red is a lovely flame or ruby red. Stopper is small, bulbous and hollow and is lightly cased in clear, again with the subtle optical pattern.
The bottle is in very good condition and very displayable (hard to photo due to scale). The stopper has some old rubbery tape to enable it to sit securely. Being handmade the rim is slightly wonky. The bottle has a white inclusion dimple dot five inches up, like a bit of ash, and a couple of other dimples from being mouth blown glass. There are a few fine scratches about an inch from the bottom. I can't tell if the very top millimeters of the stopper are as originally finished or damaged. Some natural stretched bubbles and ripples. Overall, all very good and better than many!
The bottle is 42cm tall. With stopper it's 57cm tall and 12cm widest near the base. The stopper is 20.5cm long. Beautiful coloured glass ornament - a real home decor statement for a windowsill, or perfect on a mid-century modern teak sideboard with a collection.
