A larger round disc-shaped bud vase or solifleur by Ingrid Glass, West Germany. The design is 'Wave' and is designed by Kurt Wokan I believe. Circa 1970s vintage.
Circular slice with a narrow hole at the top for a single stemmed statement flower (or a pen). Could also be used as a candle holder for a narrow tapered candle (hole is 1.4cm wide and apx 8cm long), or just a paperweight. Clear pressed/moulded glass with a Scandinavian/Nordic icy look - very like similar items by Walther Glas and Georgshutte. Impressed/indented textured wave design front and back with smooth base and sides.
A larger version of the design, about 12.5cm tall x 13cm wide x 3.5cm deep - a large block of quite solid crystal-content glass. Weighs 1.2kg. Very good condition with some natural moulding bubbles and lines from being handmade and moulded glass. Looks to be one small impact arc to an edge, really hard to see. A great collectable usable example!
