A stunning large Modernist ice bucket by Vicke Lindstrand, from the Calypso range for Kosta, Sweden. 
This simple straight-sided glass ice bucket has a thick solid lower part with textured base pattern. The base pattern is starburst-like and indented up into the middle. The Calypso design of barware dates from about 1970s and was in production until about 1980. Hand made glass ice bucket with a lead crystal content - can tell by the weight, high quality and bright clarity. It has a reflective chrome handle, with plastic internal mounts (I've polished up the handle since the photos were taken). Made by Kosta (so from before Kosta became Kosta Boda). 
Very good condition. No chips or nibbles. Very good rim. Maintains its original foil sticker. There's one internal bubble from production, pictured. One cluster of vertical scratches to the reverse near the base. The handle shows some signs of age, mostly internally.
It's a chunky larger sized 12.5cm tall x 13.5cm wide. Weighs a very heavy 1.62kg.
