A fab set of 6 teak napkin rings and 6 teak egg cups, made for Oxfam in 1972. They're all boxed and pretty much unused, and all maintain their original 'genuine teak' labels underneath/inside. They're simple retro shapes, each made from one solid piece of wood, see pics. The wood is a reddy brown, quite lightweight, with a nice defined grain. Handmade by Hong Kong Crafts for Oxfam, in the boxes the it states the box graphics are 'Oxfam Oxford 1972'. With these it's more about he boxes and original 70s graphics/fonts - the boxes are great! Very good condition with no splinters or cracks, but the wood (being over 50 years old) is now dry and lighter coloured around some edges, so would benefit from some Danish oil. Some tooling marks being handmade. Boxes are good for the age. Turned egg cups are 6.5cm x 4.5cm. Pointy napkin rings are 7cm x 2.5cm. Perfect for retro breakfasts and dining, especially over any festive period. Price includes P&P to the UK.
