A beautiful vintage frog pottery piggy bank/money box/savings pot. Made in Italy and stamped/signed to the base - made by Baldelli Ceramiche and model no 815. I believe this little fellow is 1960s vintage, and he is beautifully decorated in a simple mid-century modern style.
Hollow pottery/ceramic cute smiling seated frog. High-gloss puce pink glaze with dusky plum trim (hard to photo due to reflections and winter light). He's been decorated by hand. Slot for money to the back of his head. White clay base. Original plastic stopper to the base makes him very usable. 
11cm tall x 7cm deep x 10.5cm wide.
Really good for age and era - he's around 50 years old. Beautiful collectable example - perfect collectable figurine for a modern or mid-century home. A hard to find item in a striking and unusual colour-way. More for display for a grown-up than for a child's toy - although it would look fab out of reach in a nursery! No crazing or cracks/chips, though the baseline looks rough from time of manufacture.
